Olli Ella folk | Cosmic American

Olli Ella folk | Cosmic American

Joshua Tree based travel blogger Geneva Kawoski is a self-proclaimed “desert rat” and we absolutely love it. Her nostalgic, sepia-toned Instagram has us forever longing for balmy nights in the Mojave, adorned in the most dreamy desert attire you ever did see. Of course, we just had to have her grace our Joshua Tree campaign shoot and bring a little local flair with her little one, Prairie.

How do you describe your personal style?
I like subtly luxurious clothes; comfortable & wearable pieces in earthy tones, timeless silhouettes, and interesting textures.

Where do you live?
I live in the unincorporated Mojave Desert community of Joshua Tree, CA, USA.

If you were a colour, what colour would it be?
Terra-cotta; subdued, but still kinda fun!

"If forced to choose.. the little Luggy basket for my daughter. She loves pushing it around the farmers market and she looks so darn cute doing so!"

What’s your favourite Olli Ella piece(s) and why?
Everything! But if forced to choose.. the little Luggy basket for my daughter. She loves pushing it around the farmers market and she looks so darn cute doing so! For myself, I love to use the leather handled belly baskets for hiding away all of our kid's crap in while maintaining sense of style in our home. And I fell in love with the Borneo basket at our shoot, so that's next on my list!

Best mum hack?
Not sure if this counts a hack, but don't sweat the small stuff, and above all have fun! There are so many rules attached to parenting these it can be get stressful- and I feel like so many mothers suffer from guilt about not being to keep up with expectations they have for themselves. But really in the long run it doesn't matter if you let your kid have too much screen time occasionally or eat a processed sugar treat or whatever, what helps them thrive is growing up in a home filled with joy and love

What never fails to make you laugh?
My husband is the funniest person I have ever met, and I think  our daughter has inherited his sense of humor, because she's got non-stop jokes! Our house is a real laugh riot these days!
